Backyard Horse Tales, Bella. Okay, people where is my Jolly Ball?
“It is bright red and I don’t see it. Check the back paddock, I was playing with it there yesterday. I mean a girl needs some amusement when she is home alone. At the very least come and play with me.
Hey, Tom, a nice back rub would be appreciated. When are the other horses coming home?”

Buddy, Lou’s new 2 year-old Haflinger gelding. Buddy did a marvelous job driving at the auction and with only 90 days training. But he doesn’t have a clue about lunging, or basic barn manners. This is a whole new world for him, he previously belonged to an Amish man. It took him a couple of days to figure out what a carrot was, but he has it now and loves the treat. He is willing and wants to please. By spring he should be well along and a safe animal around Lou’s grandchildren.
Just a note: Bella has figured out the apple treat, and nickers for them the same as she does for her grain.
