Jackie Anton's Blog

From the horse's mouth flows wisdom, insight, and often a cry for help.

  • Author’s Bio

Jackie lives on a small farm in Ohio. She continues to ride daily, and is still fascinated by horses of all breeds and disciplines.

Accomplished as an equestrian, with a lifetime of experience as trainer, exhibitor, 4-H and youth club coach, as well as horse show judge, the author brings many years of experience with young riders to her “Backyard Horse Tales.”

As a child, Jackie Anton chose to play the role of a wild horse when her siblings and friends chose cowboys or Indians. Her love of horses grew, as did her empathy for the horse. These traits developed a unique insight into the equine mind. A mother and grandmother of two, Jackie continues to ride daily. She lives on a mini-farm in rural Ohio. She shares her little slice of horse heaven with her husband, two Quarter Horses, a thirty-three-year-old Appaloosa, a big fuzzy dog, and a barn cat.
