Sox’s backyard tale is a story of the mutual love and friendship between a colt and a lonely child.

A young neighbor, Emma, befriends Sox. She, like Sox, finds herself in a strange environment. Emma has come to live with her Grandmother, while her mother is deployed in Iraq. Humor comes from looking at the world from a horse’s point of view, as he tries to figure out the strange world he lives in.
